It was time to take Ivy in for her one-year photos. I decided to go back to Fotofly, the same place I took the kids last year. I also took Brynn, since her 3-year-old photos happened the day before she turned four and she was almost turning 5 so, technically, she needed her 4-year-old pictures done.
I will say that I was a little disappointed with this set of photos. I think their lighting was off-some pictures they are too washed out and some pictures they have weird shadows on their faces. I was happy with the variety of backgrounds though, and both of the girls were happy to be there so at least I wasn't dealing with grumpy kids.
I wasn't sure how Ivy would do, but she warmed right up to the photographer and seemed to love every bit of it. It definitely was not hard to get smiles out of her. We had a bit of a "wardrobe malfunction"-I bought one of those knot headbands for her but didn't really try it out before so I didn't really know how to have her wear it. It looks a little goofy, but it is what it is. I also wish they would have taken more than one picture of her in her dress (with the normal-looking headband) but that is my fault for not asking for it.
Brynn was excited to take pictures for weeks. Especially when I bought her a bow and a necklace. Justin doesn't like the big hot pink bow, but if you know Brynn at all, you know that it fits her personality to a T. She enjoyed every second we were there.
It was fun to dress the girls up all cutesy and I know I'll be glad I have these pictures to look back on.
