Moyes family pictures

My mom hired a photographer to take family pictures after  Abby's farewell so later that evening we piled into cars, drove to the photographer's house, and walked along this path practically in her backyard for some photos. It was a really pretty place! The pictures went very smooth-it makes a huge difference when the kids are older and don't need a bunch of cajoling to cooperate. Who knows when this crew will be all together again!?! All 26 originals + 1 (Isaac who is Chloe's fiance)...we are growing!  16 grandkids + Isaac it used to be just the six of us me, Ali, Bryce, Erin we all got married and doubled our number girl cousins=10 Abby, Molly, Grace, Chloe, Tessa, Josie, Brynn, Lucy, Ivy, Harper boys cousins=6 + Isaac Seth, Stockton, Grant, Gavin, Isaac Rasmussen, Ben, Spencer The photographer was willing to do individual family photos for another $40. We have a pretty recent family picture, from last summer , but it was too good a price to pass up! Bonus that it wa...

all about Stockton

Stockton has three loves right now as a 17-year-old boy. First, baseball. Playing ball and watching MLB. Nothing new here. He has enjoyed playing with a new coach at the new high school this summer and is looking forward to starting up in earnest this fall. He was able to attend a college recruitment camp a few weeks ago and really liked that. If possible, he would seriously consider playing ball at a junior college. He keeps an close eye on Major League Baseball, all teams but particularly the Braves. He knows players and stats and all the things. He will get home from wherever he has been and immediately ask if dad is home and where so he can share some random bit of sports news. I love it. Stockton loves sports cars. He has been collecting little sports-car Legos for a while now and notices cars when we are driving anywhere. It is now to the point that I find myself noticing sports cars when I am driving around as well...something I have never done before! He loves driving his truck...

Stockton's 17th birthday

Stockton turned 17 on Thursday, June 25, 2026. I cringe as I type that number because his graduation is looming ever so near...and after that, life changes for him big time. I'm not sure I'm ready. But he was ready to have a birthday, that's for sure! The first bit of celebrating happened at the Father's Day bbq in Sandy . Gene and April gave him some money at the end of the day. He has bought some swim shorts and basketball shoes so far but still has a little left. April, Stockton, Gene For his birthday breakfast, he wanted a breakfast burrito. I got up and made the hashbrowns and cooked sausage before getting ready for work and taking Brynn to cheer. Then I came home and scrambled a couple of eggs, rolled it all up in a tortilla and added cheese. Then I wrapped it up to keep it warm in the oven for him. He took the day off of work so I wasn't sure he would be up before I left, but he did get up and I got to see him before heading out the door. His birthday burrito...

Moyes Moab trip

My mom planned a little vacation for the whole fam down in Moab. She rented enough condos that each family had their own place to stay...it was very nice. I drove down with Molly, Stockton, and Ivy Wednesday night where we were instantly greeted by the heat! Whew! We ate my mom's delicious enchiladas and then hit the pool in time to see the sunset-very pretty! We didn't stay too much longer after that because the mosquitos came out and they were quite pesky! Grandma, Molly, Abby, Ivy The next day was a river float. I love me a river float and this one was pretty perfect. It was hot which made jumping in and swimming in the river feel amazing. If you got too hot, you'd just jump in and cool off, then get back on the raft until you got too hot again. It was a gentle river with not too many rapids and we had a very enjoyable time. the whole group but missing Justin and Brynn (who came late) and Erin and Grace (who were in Europe) Bryce, Abby, Molly, Grant, Stockton, Spencer, G...
