February

Brynn and Ivy with their minky blankies.  Maybe watching Baby MacDonald?
Close-up on Brynn.
Stockton's teacher is from Denver and is a huge Broncos fan, so naturally she was excited about them being in the Superbowl.  She had a Superbowl party at school and let the kids wear their favorite team jersey and hat.  Stockton represented the 49ers.
Brynn discovered that chips and salsa is a yummy snack.
All the baby girl clothes bagged up and ready to ship off to my sister who is having a baby girl after having three boys.  Lots of memories in those clothes right there!  My emotions are all jumbled up thinking about this-sad about having no more babies and excited for the next stage of life.
Ivy after feeding herself a chocolate muffin.
Ivy was not the only one who enjoyed the swing in the living room!
Justin did Ivy's hair in pigtails.  I didn't think it was long enough yet, but he proved me wrong!
Pigtails happen often now and it makes her look so cute and big!
Superbowl excitement!  We are not usually Broncos fans but we have family that is and we were also cheering for Peyton Manning because he's a nice guy.
We had some good food...wings, bean dip, pepperoni pizza puffs, and a couple of treats.

The Broncos did win but even more exciting for us was that we were able to pass along the toilet plunger (it's never been used, really!) to my parents who lost in the Moyes family trivia game Bryce does every year.
Snuggles with her stuffed lamb and Molly's blanket.  All of the kids rush to bring her comforting things whenever she is fussy.
Brynn likes to peel carrots.  And dress up.  And put lots of jewelry on.  I love it.
Brynn continues to enjoy her tumbling class.
Brynn is also good at climbing things.
Peace out, Stockton.
Lookin' good, Brynn.
I definitely love it when the kids make their Valentine boxes in their classes at school.  Stockton did this year.  Molly had to make one at home.  I gave her a cereal box and let her do it herself.
We felt lucky to avoid the yucky inversion.  On the days that were the very worst in Utah, Salt Lake, and Weber County's we had beautiful blue skies.
We even went on some walks outside to enjoy the beauty.
We spent the long President's Day weekend at the cabin.  Saturday was our snow day and it was gorgeous.  We couldn't have asked for a better day outside snowmobiling and sledding.

Chloe and Molly-Molly got some good videos on her action camera
We were at the cabin for Valentine's Day.  I gave Justin a book.  This is what we gave the kids.  (They are dates for each of them with mom and dad.)
Peek-a-boo Ivy!  She knows how to open cupboards these days.
Here are all the cousins before church.  We are missing Bryce and Erin's kids.
Ivy, Molly, Tessa, Gavin, Chloe, Stockton, Grant, Harper, Brynn, Seth
On Monday before we headed home, Justin went out with my dad, Jeff, and Christopher for a snowmobile drive.  They were gone the whole morning and into the afternoon.  Justin said it was the best time he's had snowmobiling.

I loved these two worksheets Stockton brought home.

Justin and I were finally able to get away and eat at the Bombay House.  We have made it our anniversary tradition and, even though it was February 18th (more than two months late!), we still counted it as our anniversary dinner.  It is soooo yummy!
Justin took a break from the basement and built me some shelves in the closet under the stairs.  That's where I'll be able to store craft items, my sewing machine, extra blankets, and whatever else I want!
Molly had an ice skating field trip.  I couldn't go as a chaperone but it was just in Park City so I took Brynn and Ivy so I could watch since it was her first time ever going.  I was a little nervous for her that she wouldn't be able to do it.  I'll admit I was a little surprised when I got there to see her skating confidently around the rink.  She had a blast and can't wait to go again!
The kids were so anxious for the snow to be all the way gone.  This is me taking a picture through the kitchen window of them shoveling the snow off the grass.
(Easton and Corbin came to help out)
Molly thought Ivy's crazy hair was so funny that she wanted a picture taken.
More indoor soccer games.
Justin found some money in a gutter one day.  He was leaving a store on Main Street in Heber and accidentally stepped in a gutter full of leaves and mud.  Oops!  Upon closer inspection, he discovered it was a $100 bill!  How many people can say they found 100 bucks in the gutter?  He hasn't spent it yet but I think he's going to buy something really boring like new work shoes.
It's been so nice to get outside more and more.  Ivy loves taking walks in her push car.
Brynn discovered Barbies this month.  She found the silly show on Netflix and then started playing with the Barbies that we already had.
Our goal for this year was to get to the temple every month.  We arranged a swap with our neighbors so we can make this happen.  Ivy was sick in January when we were supposed to go so we ended up taking the littler girls to Gene and April one Friday and doing a session in the Jordan River Temple.  I didn't take a picture.  It was freezing cold that dayIn February, we managed to make it on the very last Friday of the month, the 26th.  It was a beautiful day and a perfect way to start off my birthday weekend.
I made this menu board out of an old cabinet door from my great-grandparents house.  I don't normally let the kids write on it but one night I didn't make dinner and had to hurry and throw together some mac and cheese for the kids, so I let Brynn write it on the menu board.  It goes from the bottom to top, but the letters are mostly readable.
I turned 34 on the 27th.  We had a gift card to go rock climbing so we thought we'd take the kids to do that.  That actually ended up not working out because neither Justin or I were certified to belay the kids.  So we left with three very disappointed kids (I was a little disappointed too).  We were heading to Justin parent's via Provo so we decided to go to the Bean Museum and that cheered them all up quickly.
For my birthday I got new chairs-one for the piano (to replace the broken bench) and one for the computer (to replace the yucky, old computer chair), some chocolates, and bath salts.  Justin picked everything out by himself.  I got to sleep in and had delicious French Toast with buttermilk syrup and strawberries and bananas.  My mom took me shopping for some decorations for the kitchen and she also gave me some comfy work-out style clothes.  Gene and April gave me some different types of pitchers for my kitchen since I had none.  We went to a delicious dinner at Gene and April's and my mom and dad brought dinner up to our house.  That meant I had two meals that I didn't have to prepare or clean up after.  Score!  My mom also found Aggie Ice Cream at her grocery store.  Lemon Custard and Aggie Blue Mint-yum!  It was an awesome birthday!
Stockton and Brynn put this puzzle together one Sunday morning before church.  We have lots of time in the mornings since church doesn't start until 1:00.
Brynn taking a nap in sacrament meeting.  Isn't that the sweetest face?
Our neighbors brought us two of these giant doughnuts for watching their little girl.  Brynn couldn't believe doughnuts could be so big!
Ivy found the basket of hair bows and headbands.  Look at that little cheeser-she was so proud of her for putting them on all by herself!

  1. I can't believe how much hair Brynn has! We love the Bombay House too. And I love the swing in your living room. I bet that's so nice on snowy days.

Brynn @ 18 months

Yes, you read that right.  Brynn is 18 months old!!  She is so fun to have around the house and I haven't done a post devoted just to her for a while, so I thought it was about time. -She loves books!  She was never really that interested until sometime in the past couple months and now she can't get enough.  Sacrament meeting went from impossible to we can make it through...as long as I pack enough books for her.  This is how I often find her at night or during nap time. -She also loves blankets and towels, although she is not particular about which blanket.  She just wants something soft. She wants to walk around all over with them wrapped around her...they don't stay very well and she gets frustrated.  For that reason, I try to keep her blankets out of sight during the day. They come out when it's time to sleep. -Like my other kids, she loves her warm milk!  Actually, she'll drink it cold too. -She is a quiet one, always has ...

Stockton's 16th birthday

Stockton turned 16 on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. We've always told him he has the best day to have a birthday but I don't think he was convinced this year. He was anxious to turn 16 and get his license...it really felt like it took forever to get here. I told Justin that Stockton had to wait so much longer than Molly to get his license and he said, "actually, it took the exact same amount of time", which is factually true, it just felt a lot longer with Molly getting her license September of her sophomore year and Stockton not getting his until after sophomore year, before junior year. But, it did eventually arrive and we did our best to celebrate. We did the family celebration the Sunday before, since it was Girl's Camp that week and Justin, Molly, and Brynn would all be gone on his actual birthday. We had his requested dinner, meatballs, and he opened his presents. He got his favorite treats (nerd clusters, sour patch watermelon, and cow tails) and a new bat th...

all about Stockton

Stockton has loved having his license. He enjoys his independence immensely and does not take it for granted, probably because he had to wait for so long. He takes care of his truck, inside and out. He is always willing to run errands for me or take/pick up his sisters when I need him to. He tries to take back roads whenever he can-good thing you can get most anywhere in Heber on back roads.   This summer his love for cars has really amped up. He said he's always loved cars but he has just been noticing and talking about them more and more. He will point out a "cool car" whenever we are in the car and has a lot of knowledge about all the different features of the different cars. He has a dream car (can't remember which one) but also knows which color he would get in each of the different kinds of sports cars. He has slowly been buying sports car Lego sets with his birthday money, putting them together, and displaying them in his room. It's fun to see how excited h...
