After waiting the whole summer (really, after waiting all last year, that's how anxious this girl was), the time came for Kindergarten to start! Yay!!
The afternoon before she started she gave Stocky and me a fashion show. I got her a few basic {cute} things for school and then grandma took her and spoiled her.
She also had a new haircut. She had been begging for bangs for quite a while so I finally just said, "Why not?" They turned out so cute on her! She loves them and so do I. Her haircut was cute, as well, a little shorter with a few little layers in the back. She looks so much more grown up!
Molly goes to afternoon Kindergarten so it's nice not having to get up and rush her through breakfast and out the door. She was pretty excited when it was finally time to go.
Another bonus: she gets to ride the bus. I am liking this, it's way easier not to have to drag the other kids to and from school each day (since it's not close enough to walk). The afternoon bus is just the kids in our neighborhood and then she rides home with all the older kids. I think she was a tiny bit nervous but has adjusted well.
On the first day we followed the bus over to make sure they found their class and everything. She has lots of friends from our neighborhood and Primary in her class: Jade, Elise, Emma, Rebecca, Austin, and Dallin are all in her class and all from our neighborhood. She's made other friends too.
Mostly, I think Kindergarten is so much fun. It hasn't challenged her very much but that's okay because she really just loves to go to school each day.
I'm actually enjoying it as well. She is only gone for a few hours each day and I'm able to spend some time with Stockton (Brynn naps while she's gone) and get a few extra things done around the house. I made an activity jar for Stockton so each day he can draw an activity for the two of us to do together for about 30 minutes. He always wants to play cars but occassionally I can talk him into doing something else.
Playing blocks and potato heads:
Doing crafts:
A science experiment:
But mostly cars:
And, since I'm so behind with my blogging I can fast forward nearly two months from the first day of Kindergarten to the first day of Stockton's preschool. He goes to the preschool at our local high school. It's a class for the high school kids and so far I've been impressed. They have done so many fun things in the couple weeks he's been able to go. I was happy to give him something of his very own since he's spent his whole life being dragged to Molly's activities.
He loves his preschool! I'm glad both of my kids are enjoying school!!

I'm so glad Molly loves school! You are such a cute mom with so many great ideas!
