Here is our thankful tree. I made everyone add one last leaf on Thanksgiving Day. We have lots to be thankful for! Also note Stockton's leaf at the top of the wall. He thought he was so funny.

This year was a Moyes Thanksgiving so to the cabin we went! The last time we were all together on Thanksgiving Day was 2020 but that doesn't count because it was covid and we couldn't all stay at the cabin together. Since the Broadbent's are on a two-years-on and two-years-off rotation, the last time we had a true Moyes Thanksgiving when everyone was at the cabin was 2016. I had to go back lots of years of posts to get that tidbit of information. Needless to say, it was a good one, the first one after my parents mission and possibly the last one before grand-kids starting getting married, etc. Wow! Life changes fast!
Anyway, we drove up to Bear Lake Thursday morning and got there in time to help a little with dinner prep before sitting down and eating our feast. We still fit!

After dinner and dishes, the big girls and moms went for a walk, the big boys and dads had a turkey bowl on the golf course, and the little kids went sledding. We walked about 3 miles and then grandpa came to pick us up so we didn't have to walk all the way back...it was chilly! |

The rest of the afternoon we relaxed, watched movies, played games, ATE PIE. Grandma gifted the Christmas bags that night...pajamas and an ornament and, if you are 6th grade or younger, a new book. Even the moms got matching jammies this year. The kids also decorated gingerbread houses and I was happy to sit back and let them do all the work. There are rooms for the adults but the cousins have to find a place to sleep...they were very creative this time! The older girls took the bunk-beds, the older boys took the basement (couch, bean bag, floor), the littles took grandma and grandpa's floor and the in-betweens figured it out with what was left! Making great memories! |

Grandma made a feast for breakfast on Friday morning then we packed lunches, gathered our snow clothes, and headed out to find a tree. We tried a new place this year, in Logan Canyon instead of up toward Idaho, and I think we might stick with this location. We found our tree pretty quickly and everyone took a turn with the saw. We had a little campfire and some of the kids played football in the snow before we loaded up and headed back to the cabin.

We had the rest of the day to make crafts, play games, watch movies and just do general cabin stuff. We drove home Saturday morning so Molly and Brynn could work their train shifts that night!
