This year for Halloween we had a movie star (Audrey Hepburn), Thing 1, Mal from Descendants, and Ariel.
We started Halloween by driving down to my parent's house the Saturday before. It was our turn to make the spook alley so the kids worked on that for a little while when we first got there.
Of course my mom has so many fun games planned. Donuts on a string. Egg relay. A few others that I have forgotten. Instead of each kid carving their own pumpkin my mom had a huge pumpkin for each family and supplies to make a graveyard scene inside the pumpkin. This was fun-I loved it so much more than carving 4 pumpkins!

I only had two kids dress up for school. Brynn and Ivy were excited that morning. I was excited for them, but sad that I wouldn't get to see a Halloween parade or help with any parties.
Justin caught Brynn walking home from school that afternoon and enlisted her to help loading some wood in the truck. She was a willing helper!
Halloween fell on a Saturday this year. We spent the day working. We had just gotten the bales of hay for the sheep so we were unloading those. They were too heavy and we ended up having a neighbor help us stack them with his tractor. We raked leaves. Actually, we "swept" leaves with our new lawn sweeper. It was a game-changer this fall with getting all those leaves up. Justin and Molly built half of the sheep barn for the winter. He went back and added more to make it bigger a couple of weeks later. The weather was nice and it felt good to be working outside.

Finally, it was time to get ready for trick-or-treating. I took the girls to the bigger neighborhood in our ward and we met up with Tricia Steiner and her girls. Stockton went trick-or-treating with Kelton Webb and his dad. Molly stayed home and watched a movie with Justin. We decided to quarantine her for a week prior to her trip to Atlanta and, since she was leaving two days later, Halloween fell in that week. She was a good sport to miss all the friend parties that night but we didn't want to risk her picking something up and having her trip ruined-or taking something to the Tanner's.
