4th of July:
Always the same, old, wonderful 4th of July in Plain City. The only difference was that they were honoring all the past mayors in the parade so my mom and dad had to put together a float and we all rode on that. Stockton was a little disappointed not to be riding his new bike in the bike parade but everyone had a good time. When we drove by the announcers stand, they announced my dad's name and said, "Thank you for your service to our community!" and I was so proud of my dad at that moment. I was probably too young to appreciate the sacrifices he was making when he was serving as mayor (and bishop at the same time). Also, any excuse for my mom to get matching clothes for the kids. They love it.

Park time. The kids got $10 to do what they wanted and they mostly went around on their own with a cousin.

And since it was a chilly night, a campfire and s'mores to close the night. We headed home after that since Justin had to work the next morning. Molly got to stay because she was going to the cabin so she was able to go to the fireworks at the park with everybody else.

24th of July:
We were not very good at doing our bucket list this summer but one thing on it that we did do was go walk around Silver Lake. We did it last year with Goodrich cousins and it was just so pretty up there so I really wanted to go back this year. We talked Gene, April, and Brett and Heidi and her kids (Eric was out of town for work) into meeting us on Pioneer Day. We ate dinner and walked around the lake. Some kids tried fishing with no luck. We thought it might be a madhouse with it being the 24th but it was not that busy. I thought it was fitting to be out in the beautiful mountains of Utah in honor of the pioneers-I often see amazing places like this and wonder how they felt seeing the same places for the first time.

| Ivy actually fished these sunglasses out of the lake! |

| Missing Brynn who was at the rodeo with the whole Moyes gang. |
We drove up and down Guardsmans Pass to get there and it comes out at the bottom right at Wasatch State Park so we spontaneously decided to try some fishing there. Also no luck with catching anything but you really can't beat the view and the sunset from that spot.
