Easter 2016

We have had the same Easter routine for years.  Party at the Moyes's the afternoon before, hunting for baskets and eggs at home in the morning, new church clothes, church, and dinner at the Goodrich's after church.  I like routine.  It was fun watching Ivy this year since she was too little last year to really participate in anything.

Moyes Party-
Brynn and Harper
Pin the Tail on the Bunny
Justin and Molly-relay races
carrot toss
Brynn and Seth climbing on the pile of dirt behind Jeff and Ali's construction site
Abby and Stockton-they had to race to an egg and then the person who got there first would try to make it back to the beginning without being tagged by their opponent.  This game was a hit for the kids and they kept playing it with all different cousin combos.
Brynn and Harper
Getting instructions from Grandma for the egg hunt.  They each got a bag with another cousin's eggs that they had to hide.  This was also fun for them to get to hide each other's eggs.
Grant and Stockton got nerf dart boards from Grandma.  (Brynn got a Barbie Corvette and Molly got a fairy garden.)
Abby, Molly, and Chloe in their new clothes from grandma
Easter morning at home-
I made them watch Bible videos while they waited for Ivy to wake up
Ivy got a Noah and the Ark book in her basket
Stockton got some Sunday videos in his basket
Brynn got a CTR bumblebee necklace in her basket
Hunting for chocolate eggs.  Mom and Dad are not allowed to help (unless they find an egg that is too high for them to reach).  There is still currently one egg that has not been found.
Molly got a CD of instrumental primary songs
New church clothes-
Stockton loves matching with Justin
She is mad because I took a chocolate egg away from her so it didn't ruin her new dress.
Molly wanted her hair in a complicated double braided messy bun.  It made us late for 1:00 church which is something that never happens.  But she looks beautiful.

This was taken after church per Stockton's request.  He knew exactly where he wanted a picture.  We were in a rush to get changed and to the next party but I am glad we took the time for this.  I love these guys.  Also, I'm the only one not wearing yellow.
Dinner and hunt at Goodrich's-
Brynn and Evie

I love the relationship my kids have with Gene.  They love to sit on his lap and be read to.

Brynn @ 18 months

Yes, you read that right.  Brynn is 18 months old!!  She is so fun to have around the house and I haven't done a post devoted just to her for a while, so I thought it was about time. -She loves books!  She was never really that interested until sometime in the past couple months and now she can't get enough.  Sacrament meeting went from impossible to we can make it through...as long as I pack enough books for her.  This is how I often find her at night or during nap time. -She also loves blankets and towels, although she is not particular about which blanket.  She just wants something soft. She wants to walk around all over with them wrapped around her...they don't stay very well and she gets frustrated.  For that reason, I try to keep her blankets out of sight during the day. They come out when it's time to sleep. -Like my other kids, she loves her warm milk!  Actually, she'll drink it cold too. -She is a quiet one, always has ...

Christmas Advent 2012

Okay, here goes... Day 1: paint clay ornaments When we cut down trees this year there were a bunch of tops already cut down just lying on the ground so we took a couple home...one for Molly and Stockton's room and one for Brynn's room.  When the ornaments were dry I hung them on their little trees. Day 2: watch the Christmas Devotional (And eat Christmas corn!) Day 3: library story time Stockton was pretty nervous to see Santa but I think he was even more scared of not telling him what he wanted for Christmas.  He's smiling but it's a nervous smile!   Brynn had no reaction.   Day 4: Santa face craft   Day 5: Festival of Lights   Day 6: write letters to Santa Stockton: "Captain America" Molly: "an easy bake oven" & "a car for Molly"    Day 7: go shopping for cousin exchange and wrap presents Day 8: North Pole Express with Moyes family           ...
