Brynn's 4th birthday

Brynn turned 4 on Saturday, March 7th.  We had fun celebrating her birthday for the whole weekend.  We love this little girl so much!

We were in Sandy on Friday night for the kid's photo shoot.  April came to help me and then we just went to their house after for a little party.  We had pizza and then Brynn opened her presents from Grandma and Grandpa.  She got some magic-clip princesses, the Precious Moments porcelain dolls (one for each age), and a box of Lucky Charms (it was tradition in Justin's family that they got their favorite cereal for their birthdays).

I didn't do a big cake but did make some sugar cookies bars with purple frosting and sprinkles.  We sang happy birthday and Brynn blew out her candles.
On the day of her birthday she woke up to a few presents waiting to be unwrapped.
We got her a purple thermal teddy bear (Molly has one that Brynn always wanted to use), some paint dabbers, and a purple Razor scooter.
I asked her what she wanted for breakfast and her request was Lucky Charms.  I felt a little guilty not making a nice birthday breakfast for her, but it's what she wanted.
After breakfast, we drove to Plain City.  Abby got baptized on Brynn's birthday so she got to spend the day with her Moyes cousins.

My mom had ordered a cake for Brynn-a Cinderella one, as requested.  We sang to her at Bryce and Erin's house after the baptism and shared the cake with all of Abby's guests.
A little later we headed over to my mom and dad's so Brynn could open her gifts.  She was completely spoiled with clothes, a new outfit for Bitty Baby with a bigger one to match Brynn, a swimsuit, an apron made by grandma, and a roller coaster.
It was a nice enough day outside that we let the kids play for an hour or so longer before we headed home.  This left plenty of time for Brynn to get pushed on the swing by grandpa, one of her absolute favorite things to do.

We hope Brynn had a great day!  We love her personality and are grateful to have her sweet little spirit in our family.

Here is her birthday interview:

*Ivy update 4/8:
-Ivy's eyes light up when anyone talks to her.  She is such a smiley baby and is on the brink of laughing.  She loves when Justin tickles her and lets out lots of grunts that we are certain would be giggles if she could just figure it out.
-She is always trying to fit her fists in her mouth.
-She is getting so super chubby.  I am loving the rolls on her thighs.  She was 10 lbs 4 oz at her 2 month appt, which could possibly make her our chubbiest baby.
-She has started to extend her eating to every three hours, or maybe 2 1/2 hours, just in the last few days.  We are getting there.
-Napping is about the same...just short little cat naps with an occasional long nap thrown in randomly.  She has become a little easier to put down at night and once she's down, she is sleeping like a pro.  She has slept through the night a handful of times but mostly just does one night-time feeding, around 4 or 5.

**Molly decided to spend some time blogging today.  I tried to tell her it would be easier to just start from right now, but she thinks she wants to go all the way back and try to play catch up.  We'll see how she does.  She used my blog to help her remember what had been going on that long ago.  Here's a link to her blog if you want to check it out: Molly's blog

  1. I love all the updates! Ivy is so beautiful!!! Actually, all of your children are beautiful and I am amazed you got such great pictures of them all together. They all look so nice and even looked like they were so cooperative. I loved reading more about Brynn too. She seems to be such a girly girl and so sweet. I also love reading your updates on Ivy and always smile when I find you are seeing/doing a lot of the same things that I do everyday. Life of a mom is great, right!

Brynn @ 18 months

Yes, you read that right.  Brynn is 18 months old!!  She is so fun to have around the house and I haven't done a post devoted just to her for a while, so I thought it was about time. -She loves books!  She was never really that interested until sometime in the past couple months and now she can't get enough.  Sacrament meeting went from impossible to we can make it through...as long as I pack enough books for her.  This is how I often find her at night or during nap time. -She also loves blankets and towels, although she is not particular about which blanket.  She just wants something soft. She wants to walk around all over with them wrapped around her...they don't stay very well and she gets frustrated.  For that reason, I try to keep her blankets out of sight during the day. They come out when it's time to sleep. -Like my other kids, she loves her warm milk!  Actually, she'll drink it cold too. -She is a quiet one, always has ...

Stockton's 16th birthday

Stockton turned 16 on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. We've always told him he has the best day to have a birthday but I don't think he was convinced this year. He was anxious to turn 16 and get his license...it really felt like it took forever to get here. I told Justin that Stockton had to wait so much longer than Molly to get his license and he said, "actually, it took the exact same amount of time", which is factually true, it just felt a lot longer with Molly getting her license September of her sophomore year and Stockton not getting his until after sophomore year, before junior year. But, it did eventually arrive and we did our best to celebrate. We did the family celebration the Sunday before, since it was Girl's Camp that week and Justin, Molly, and Brynn would all be gone on his actual birthday. We had his requested dinner, meatballs, and he opened his presents. He got his favorite treats (nerd clusters, sour patch watermelon, and cow tails) and a new bat th...

all about Stockton

Stockton has loved having his license. He enjoys his independence immensely and does not take it for granted, probably because he had to wait for so long. He takes care of his truck, inside and out. He is always willing to run errands for me or take/pick up his sisters when I need him to. He tries to take back roads whenever he can-good thing you can get most anywhere in Heber on back roads.   This summer his love for cars has really amped up. He said he's always loved cars but he has just been noticing and talking about them more and more. He will point out a "cool car" whenever we are in the car and has a lot of knowledge about all the different features of the different cars. He has a dream car (can't remember which one) but also knows which color he would get in each of the different kinds of sports cars. He has slowly been buying sports car Lego sets with his birthday money, putting them together, and displaying them in his room. It's fun to see how excited h...
