March!

My mom gave all the girls tickets to Disney on Ice for Valentine's Day so me and my girls drove up to meet the rest of the family at the Energy Solutions Arena.

My kids always love hanging out with cousins...and seeing Grandma is always a bonus!
Brynn, Grace, Tessa
Chloe, Abby, Molly
They were spoiled and got snow cones and a special prize to take home.  Fun times!
I gave both my girls little trims...both of them were getting straggly locks.  I don't usually dare, but I did a pretty good job.  Everything turned out even and it will be great to get them through the summer.  Anyway, it was the weekend of Brynn's birthday and she looked so cute on Sunday with a new dress and a new do so we pulled out the camera and it turned into a complete photo shoot!

Cute kids all ready for church.

I loved this little note Stockton made for Molly.  I took a picture so I could always remember it.

Middle:
I think the picture on the left is Molly in front of our house or her school, can't remember which.  But I do know what the picture on the right is:  Harry Potter playing Quidditch!  The big red thing on the left are the bleachers (you can barely see Ron and Hermione on top) and you should be able to see the wizards flying on their broomsticks...directly into the sun, it looks like!

Justin had a birthday.  I made him a {homemade} Twinkie Tower again and everyone was happy with that.  I forgot to buy candles so a match was used in place of one.

Molly had a Friday off for some reason that I can't recall.  I had been feeling like a lousy mom...maybe just a stressed mom...so I decided to just have a fun afternoon full of surprises.  First, I took the kids to a park that we never go to (Centennial Park).
We went to the dollar store and they each picked a prize...Molly got crayons, Stockton some ninja people, and Brynn and big pink bouncy ball that lights up.

Last, we used our coupons from the dentist to get a free ice cream cone.  Mmm!
Justin's project of the month was to install an attic ladder and add a "floor" to the attic so we can store more of our junk stuff.

I was able to move all the seasonal decorations up there so now the closet under my stairs is free to use for some food storage!  And that truly is exciting!

The kids love, love, love when I get out the Easter decorations.  I give them a whole day to play with the plastic eggs before I put them away (we have a lot) and that is always pretty exciting.  They begged me for a couple weeks before I finally got around to doing it on a quiet Sunday afternoon.

The Primary put on a missionary activity for the kids.  They had returned missionaries share stories and food from the places they served.  My kids had a lot of fun doing that, so Justin decided to pull out his mission pictures one night for FHE.  The kids really enjoyed it (except for Brynn, she wasn't too interested).  They kept wanting to hear him say things in Korean and would giggle every time he did!

I've always had a pretty relaxed philosophy when it comes to potty training.  I have always just waited for my kids to come to me when they're ready and it's been a pretty smooth transition.  Molly and Stockton were both trained before 3 fairly easily so when Brynn turned 3 and was still showing no interest, I knew that it was going to require a bit more effort on my part.  We started out by making a chart and buying some gummy bears and princess stickers for rewards.  I was still keeping her in a diaper and would just sit her on the toilet every 30 minutes or so.  It took her a few weeks to fill up her chart.

I was still laid back about it (I didn't want to push her and have it back-fire on me) and would let her wear either a diaper or underwear.  I did that until the end of April and now it is an underwear-only policy, unless we are going somewhere for more than an hour.  She is doing great, but she still won't tell me when she has to go.  I just have to be diligent and sit her on the toilet every hour and we've had quite a few dry days and that is nice.  Being potty trained is great and wonderful and I'm super excited about it...the only problem we are facing now is that without a diaper, none of her pants will stay up!!

Brynn @ 18 months

Yes, you read that right.  Brynn is 18 months old!!  She is so fun to have around the house and I haven't done a post devoted just to her for a while, so I thought it was about time. -She loves books!  She was never really that interested until sometime in the past couple months and now she can't get enough.  Sacrament meeting went from impossible to we can make it through...as long as I pack enough books for her.  This is how I often find her at night or during nap time. -She also loves blankets and towels, although she is not particular about which blanket.  She just wants something soft. She wants to walk around all over with them wrapped around her...they don't stay very well and she gets frustrated.  For that reason, I try to keep her blankets out of sight during the day. They come out when it's time to sleep. -Like my other kids, she loves her warm milk!  Actually, she'll drink it cold too. -She is a quiet one, always has ...

Stockton's 16th birthday

Stockton turned 16 on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. We've always told him he has the best day to have a birthday but I don't think he was convinced this year. He was anxious to turn 16 and get his license...it really felt like it took forever to get here. I told Justin that Stockton had to wait so much longer than Molly to get his license and he said, "actually, it took the exact same amount of time", which is factually true, it just felt a lot longer with Molly getting her license September of her sophomore year and Stockton not getting his until after sophomore year, before junior year. But, it did eventually arrive and we did our best to celebrate. We did the family celebration the Sunday before, since it was Girl's Camp that week and Justin, Molly, and Brynn would all be gone on his actual birthday. We had his requested dinner, meatballs, and he opened his presents. He got his favorite treats (nerd clusters, sour patch watermelon, and cow tails) and a new bat th...

all about Stockton

Stockton has loved having his license. He enjoys his independence immensely and does not take it for granted, probably because he had to wait for so long. He takes care of his truck, inside and out. He is always willing to run errands for me or take/pick up his sisters when I need him to. He tries to take back roads whenever he can-good thing you can get most anywhere in Heber on back roads.   This summer his love for cars has really amped up. He said he's always loved cars but he has just been noticing and talking about them more and more. He will point out a "cool car" whenever we are in the car and has a lot of knowledge about all the different features of the different cars. He has a dream car (can't remember which one) but also knows which color he would get in each of the different kinds of sports cars. He has slowly been buying sports car Lego sets with his birthday money, putting them together, and displaying them in his room. It's fun to see how excited h...
