Brynn got this Sofia puzzle for Christmas and I think she can practically do it in her sleep. It pretty much came out everyday for the first two months and she quickly memorized where every piece went so she could do it all by herself.
Spaghetti night. I don't usually encourage the kids to play with their food but they were having such a fun time slurping their noodles and Justin wasn't home and I didn't care. I just wanted them to eat. And they did!
(And I did not notice that Stockton dropped a noodle on the floor and then pick it up and ate it until I watched this again!)
If you listened to the entire video, the kids gave away our vacation location...Disneyland! That's right, we did that and we had the best time! We've been saving money for it and decided we better go before Brynn turned three, since it's still free admission for a two-year-old. We invited my mom and dad so we had some extra hands and we were so grateful they agreed to come along and help us out. They rented a van so we could all ride together and drove down to pick us up on Saturday, the 22nd. After figuring out the car seat situation and where to sit everyone, we were off! Molly and Brynn each got their own bucket seats and Stockton sat in the back between Grandma and me. My dad drove and Justin sat shotgun.
I could reach Molly but couldn't get to Brynn so Justin took care of her the whole time. He did a good job and she was a happy little traveler.
All the kids did great with the long hours in the car but we did break up the drive and spent our first night in Las Vegas. The kids were so excited to finally get there!
Molly really wanted to swim but it has to be a lot warmer to get me in a pool so we took the shuttle to the Las Vegas Strip to see some sights. We stuck with the more family-friendly places, although that's a little hard to do in Vegas.
We went to the M & M factory and bought a mix of treats for our drive.
We saw Elmo.
We also saw Iron Man but Stockton didn't want to go too close to him.
We saw the Bellagio fountains.
And the gardens there as well.
We were done after that so we caught the shuttle back to the condo and put the kids to bed. We drove the rest of the way to Anaheim the next day and just hung out at the condo and got all prepared to head the park first thing in the morning.
Wow, I had some catching up to do. SOOO many fun things to read/see on your blog today. Love the scissors and glue activities, the forts, the many many books to read, etc. It all looks so familiar. :-) And that picture Molly drew was awesome and should definitely be sent to the Friend. Jane always spends so much time looking that page over each month so she will be watching for Molly's. Hooray for a vacation, and one to Disneyland at that. Have to admit that I am sort of jealous. Can't wait to read more about it.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, and my favorite was on the spaghetti video when Justin walks in and Stockton says, "Dad, you missed me!" Cute!
