We had Spring Break the first week of April so the kids and I went to Plain City. Among other things, we went to the Dinosaur Park.
Grant and Brynn have become good buddies.
I tried to keep the kids quietly busy for General Conference. They each had their conference packets, although Molly was the only one who really did anything with hers. She paid attention pretty well. We also made caterpillars out of Easter eggs.
And a General Authority mobile.
During the break between sessions on Sunday we broke out the bubbles.
Molly has been saving her money for quite some time now. We went to the Disney story in March and she saw a raincoat that she knew she just had to have. We went home and counted all her money and figured that she needed to earn three more dollars for the coat. So she did some extra chores around the house that week and was able to get all the money she needed. We took her back to the store but by that time she had decided that it just wasn't worth spending all her money...she wanted to find something that she could buy but still have money left over. It was quite the drama at the store...she wanted to buy something so bad so she just kept reaching for anything. Justin and I didn't want her to spend her money on just anything and regret it later so we left the store and told her that she needed some time to think about what she really wanted. She was in tears.
After a couple of days to think it over she decided that she really wanted the Brave nightgown that she had seen there. The only problem was that it was $10 more than what she had. Lucky for her, she got Grandpa Moyes on her side and he gave her a couple of chores to do while we were there for spring break. Before we came home he gave her a crisp $10 bill and the next day Justin stopped to get the nightgown on his way home from work. She was so excited! There was no buyer's remorse for this purchase! It took every last penny she had and she didn't care one bit.
Molly is such a good reader that a lot of times Stockton and Brynn go to her to have books read to them. I love reading books to my kids but it is nice to have someone else that loves it too!
Molly played soccer again this spring. We had some bad weather (freezing!) and some better weather. All in all, it was a good season although she did lose some of her aggressiveness from last fall. But she loves it and wants to keep playing and that is something that I can get behind all the way!
Stockton and Brynn, on the other hand, are pretty tired of getting dragged here and there to Molly's things. They have to be creative so they don't get too bored.

They took these graduation pictures at school then sent the whole packet home to try to get us to buy some. We didn't. But I took a picture of the picture before I sent them all back.
We went to Trafalga for a game of mini-golf (which can get almost hilarious with our kids).
And the 3D simulator thing.
Justin and I left the kids in the care of their very awesome grandparents and skipped off to Denver for a couple of days. Actually, we drove, but the drive wasn't too bad. Turns out we were there for our one day of sight-seeing on one the coldest days all month...below 30 for sure. So instead of being outside we went to a mall, did a session at the Denver temple, and saw a late-night movie. Nothing we couldn't have done in Utah but easier because the kids were already taken care of.
The second day was game day. Luckily the sun came out and the temperature climbed to the 50s. It was pleasant although I was still glad I had leggings on under my jeans, a long-sleeved shirt, a jacket, and my winter coat. Hehe. No matter the weather, it is always awesome to attend a Major League Baseball game. We love them.
Justin has been a Braves fan as long as he can remember so we jumped at the chance to see them play the Rockies a little closer to home. It was a great game, extra innings, and very exciting (although the Braves lost). We really had a great time!
We took Molly out of school for three days and she was really bummed to have to miss. But I think it worked out okay for her...the kids split their time between both their grandmas. They got to go to the Gateway Museum with Grandma Kay, the Hogle Zoo with Grandma April and spend time with cousins on both sides. Much better than going to school, I'd say!
Stockton had a momentous breakthrough when we went over to the swings one day and he decided he could swing on the big boy swing. He has always insisted on the baby swing. He even let me give him a "hunderdog."
Another breakthrough occurred just the following day: he rode his bike outside! This is big, people!! He would ride his bike in the house and all around the gym at the church but never outside.
And here is Brynn. She got into my makeup.
She's thinking, "Mom, do you really have to take my picture?"
