General Conference was a quiet affair. We usually go to Gene and April's for the Sunday afternoon session and dinner but they were in Atlanta so we stayed home. It was nice to have Justin home for an entire Sunday. He finished a puzzle with the girls that I just didn't have the energy to do.
I took Brynn to the middle school so we could both learn how to get her signed up for middle school. Crazy. We found her friend Taylee Baird there and, when the presentation was done, the two of them walked around the school for a little bit. Taylee is Brynn's bff from Kindergarten at Old Mill but when our kids moved to the new Daniels Canyon Elementary, the two of them got split up. I teach Taylee piano so they see each other often but they are so excited to be at the same school again. I took that current picture of them and then had to go digging for an old one. Look how cute and little they are. Where did all those years go?

Brynn woke up a couple of days with a headache. One day I took her into school late and the next day I let her come to preschool with me. It was picture day and the photographer thought she was just an extra tall preschooler! Haha. She was a good helper since I was trying to do end-of-year assessments that day.

Brynn had her last cheer competition. I am so impressed by what her coaches were able to put together, how much progress the team has made, and how much Brynn has learned. She has loved every minute of it and can't wait for another year.

Brynn and Ivy worked on their cheer/tap/whatever else routine at home one Saturday.
Justin took Molly and Stockton to see the new Spiderman movie. I am not up on my superhero movies so that could be wrong information but I'm pretty sure it was Spiderman. Looks like they had a good time if the picture is any indication.
Stockton had a percussion concert at the high school. Both the middle schools and the high school performed. Stockton is down there, front row, 4th in from the left wearing his Wasatch baseball shirt and Wasatch hat.
Ivy finally lost that second front tooth. It resulted in the cutest gap when she smiles.
Stockton will hate that I took this picture but he doesn't read this so I think I'm safe. There is another girl that gets on the bus with him in the morning but he never ever talks to her. And she never says anything back. We've told him that he could at least say hi to her but I've never seen it. Oh, the awkward stage of middle school! Only one more year for Stockton.
Tap pictures for Ivy! She has had fun this year in tap. Their year-end dance was "The Bear Necessities" and Ivy called it "The Bear Necessenies."

Brynn had her end-of-year cheer banquet. They had dinner, an end-of-year video, and they gave out awards. All the girls got a sash with a title ("Ms. So-and-so") and Brynn got Ms. MVP for her team. They also gave an attendance award for each team and Brynn was awarded that for her cheer team. And then each coach picked one outstanding athlete out of all four teams. I'm sure that was a hard decision to make but the head coach, Tavia, picked Brynn out of all those girls! She said that Brynn gives every practice 100% and that she couldn't ask for a better center flyer in the whole world. She has done so well this year. She is dedicated to doing her best each and every time and she has learned a whole bunch. She is so excited to see what this next year of cheer brings. I told Justin that he should probably expect a lot of cheer in our future. Brynn is truly passionate about cheer and I have a feeling she will continue to get better and better over the next several years.
Literacy night at the elementary school. Ivy was not going to let this one get by, even if I would have liked to forget about it. But the girls and I had fun learning camp songs and listening to Miss Sally, the greatest librarian/story-teller in the history of ever.
Ivy graduated to Brynn's bike (which used to be Molly's bike) but she was a little nervous to ride it independently and refused to ride it to the bus stop in the morning. We had a free night (rare) so I took her and Brynn out. She didn't need my help with any of it. She was much more confident after that and rides it on her own now.
Molly has had such a great soccer season. It started late but then she has had multiple games in a week, just like she likes it. She was playing her normal '06 team but also playing for the older '03 team since they were short on players. So twice the amount of games! She did so well and I see such improvement from her. She hardly ever subs out and is a versatile player, playing on the wing, in the middle, and defense as well. It's been so much fun to watch her. She still pins a lot of her hopes on making the high school team this summer/fall and I wish she wouldn't place it as such a high priority. But not much I can do about it so I do my best to support her.
Also worth mentioning is Stockton's baseball season. Justin is still coaching (he has so much on his plate) so I don't make it to a lot of games since he does baseball and I do soccer + everything else. I try to make it when I can. Stockton's team still struggles and they lose all their games. Stockton handles this differently every time and we are working through some anger management issues with him but his passion is baseball so he is happy he still gets to play and he is learning a lot of life lessons right now.

I still read to Stockton but, man, it took us a long time to get through a full book this time. We read Breakout, a recommendation from Molly. It maybe would have read better independently rather than a read-aloud but we liked it! Stockton even did his final book report for English on this book, but that was probably so he didn't have to read something else. Smart kid.
