Stockton and I made this sun which he proudly hung in the window and showed to anyone who came to visit.
I hitched a ride with my aunt to Plain City for a cousin's bridal shower. It was at my sister's...where they have horses. They live so close to my parents but we never seem to have time to ride them. But Christopher was out and took Molly for a ride. She had so much fun!
Stockton got to stay with Grandpa and Jeff and play with Gavin and Grant while we were at the shower (Justin was working). Superheroes are all the rave these days.
Molly insisted on making paper bag turkeys again this year.
We decided to finally switch Brynn out of her baby car seat to face forward. We had used that infant seat for 6 years and it was expiring at the end of December. She was not loving her seat and would throw a fit anytime we put her in the car. I know the recommendation is 2 years now and she's not quite 20 lbs but we switched her anyway and it's been a bit better. We actually gave Stockton the new seat and Brynn the big forward-facing 5-point.
This is the view of the backseat now.
We got some pretty good snow toward the beginning of the month so the kids had some fun playing in it. Molly went off with her friend and found a little hill to sled down.
Stockton and Brynn just explored outside a little...this was Brynn's first time in the snow-I don't think we even had much snow last year, besides she was too little. She didn't stay out long because we hadn't bought any snow stuff for her...pants, coat, etc. She just liked to eat the snow and would have stayed out much longer if I would have let her.
We built a snowman...I found these pirate potato head things that were meant for a pumpkin...they were a little small but the kids thought it was silly fun.

The kids love it when Justin tosses them around. Brynn flies so high...she is easy to toss because she's so small. This kind of playing always makes them laugh and laugh and laugh.
Our Thankful Tree had so many leaves on it this year, considering we added 5 leaves every night. Each leaf represents something we are grateful for.
This year Molly was thankful for:
*Holy Ghost
*Brynn
*Dad
*Jesus
*nature
*animals
*Stockton
*family
*pilgrims
*pen to write letters with
*clothes
*school
*our house
*earth
Stockton's are humorous. He was thankful for:
*Molly
*Syndrome (bad guy from Incredibles)
*breakfast
*Iron Man
*Brynn
*Captain America
*scary stuff
*cars
*Mater Hawk
*flowers
*Mom
*food
Glad I made the cut! I'm sure he's thankful for his dad too.
One house gave out free bowling passes instead of candy when we went trick-or-treating. They were only good through the end of November and since we never got around to going as a family I took the kids one morning by myself. Molly didn't have school because of SEP conferences so we didn't have to worry about hurrying back. We had three free passes so all I had to pay for was shoes. Molly had a good time, of course, and I think Stockton liked it well enough but he really wanted to play at the arcade.
